The bi-annual Beckford Open Village Event is always a major source of income for our 12th century church and we rely on the funds it raises to support maintenance of the fabric of the building and, importantly, for the work of the church in the community. We now have fewer services, as staffing has been reduced, so income from collections has also declined.

We are naturally very grateful for the money we receive from regular donors but the need for insurance, for heating, and for general maintenance work – all increasingly expensive – is ongoing and eats ever further into our resources in this small village.

Please come and enjoy a very special village in a variety of country gardens, with numerous attractions throughout Beckford. In doing so you will be helping to support our beautiful church and its mission as all money raised is devoted to that cause. Now more than ever, please consider giving generously to support our mission and ministry.

Thank you for your kind support. You can be assured that the majority of any donation you can afford will be used for the upkeep of the Beckford Church; with the remainder being used to benefit various community groups within the village of Beckford.

* By selecting a gift-aided donation, you confirm that you have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) on the money that you donate, that is at least equal to the amount of tax that Beckford Church will reclaim on my gifts for that tax year. I understand the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give. I understand that other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
