First Aid Point

We hope you enjoy your time meandering around the gardens. These are very much country gardens with footpaths and surroundings that may be uneven or unfamiliar to you, so please take extra care. For those of you with young children the gardens that have water features (ponds) are identified at the entrance to each property.

In the unlikely event that you feel unwell and need medical attention you will find first aid kits located at the Village Hall, The Old Post Office and the Beckford Inn (first aiders are on duty at the pub). If you are in any doubt, then please ring 111 or 999 straight away.

Toilets

Main toilets are located off the foyer of the village hall. In addition there is a Portaloo in the forecourt of The Stabling (Garden No.12) and another by the bus shelter near the village green, opposite the Old Post Office (which also has a toilet for those using the coffee shop). The Beckford Inn also has a toilet.

Dogs

Dogs on leads are most welcomed and watering stations are available throughout the gardens, some with special treats for our canine visitors. Disposal bins for dog waste may be found near the village hall and at both entrances to the Nature Reserve. And for those who wander off down Back Lane, there is another disposal bin at the entrance to ‘The Whorlies’ – the farm track just past the bridge over the Carrant Brook.

If you wish to visit the Nature Reserve during your stay in Beckford, please make sure you keep your dog on a short lead.

Parking

Free parking next to the village hall. Please do not park elsewhere in the village.

Disabled Access

Disabled toilets are available at the village hall. The majority of the open gardens allow wheelchair access.

The Nature Reserve has a disabled entrance in Ashton Road.
