Beckford Open Village

Beckford Open Village

Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June (1pm to 6pm)

Every two years a small army of amazing volunteers comes together to showcase the beautiful Cotswold village of Beckford, a quiet rural village at the southern foothills of Bredon Hill with a long history of settlement stretching back to the 8th century. We warmly welcome visitors of all ages to relax and enjoy the 13 wonderful country gardens and attractions that are at the heart of our community. We also have free children’s attractions to keep the little ones happy, and dog stations to keep our canine friends out of trouble too!

This year will be better than ever, with new attractions in addition to the already popular events like the Champagne Bar & BBQ, the Vintage Vehicles, the Treasure Hunt and of course the excellent teas and cakes. New to this year will be a demonstration of Cut Flower Arranging, tours of the Church Bell Tower (including the bell chamber to see the bells), the Winchcombe Community Choir and a fly past of Vintage Aircraft.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Open Village, with tickets available on the day, purchased at the Airstream sales point in the car park

Photo Competition

During the 2022 Open Village we invited visitors to send in their photos to enter into a competition for the best picture. The gallery below shows a sample of the entries. The winner received a bottle of champagne and the photo was used to design the advertising poster for this year’s event.

When visiting the gardens this year, make sure you take lots of photos and use the Photo Submission page on this website to send in your best photos – you never know it could be your photo on the cover of the poster next time! The link to the submission page will be available as soon as the gardens open on June 1st.

A special prize will be given to the best photo of your dog enjoying the Open Village.

By entering the competition you agree that your photos can be used for promoting future Beckford Open Village events.
